1967 MERCEDES BENZ SL-250 “Mercedes Benz has never followed the market. They’ve always led it. This car was only produced for fourteen months! There aren’t many to begin with, then take this condition and then how she is built…. Triple black, 4 speed, a/c radio delete- collector grade. When we bought her, she was British green with a dark interior. She was not running, but she looked like a solid project. All was there, all panels, interior, exterior, trim, brightwork, drivetrain, steering wheel etc., but all had issues one way or another. Took us three plus years, lots of money, parts, and labor to restore this car. In our opinion the rare of the rare. First, she is triple black (two stage ppg) New paint, new leather interior, new canvas top, new pagoda top All gauges sent out to instrumentation shop restored. Steering wheel sent our restored (baked) All chrome and brightwork – re-chromed or replaced. Body completely stripped, dipped, acid washed and prepped before anybody touch-ups and paint. All new door panels, insulation on floors, before new carpet. New glass All new badges. New air conditioning The engine was overhauled, as was the four speed transmission. New exhaust Wheels were restored, as was the dog dish hubcaps. New tires. Rebuilt the suspension front and rear, and brakes Rebuilt the rearend. All new weather-stripping, car is tight.
