GOVERNMENT. IN 1972 REGULATED EMISSIONS KILLED THE MUSCLE
CAR ERA. THROUGH THE 70's,
FORD CONTINUED THE MUSTANG, BUT LACKED POWER AND HEAD TURNING LOOKS.

IN 1979, FORD RELEASED AN AGGRESSIVE & LIGHTER MUSTANG REFERRED TO AS THE
"FOXBODY". AS THE CAR
PROGRESSED THROUGH THE 80's, IT RECEIVED VERY FEW
FACELIFTS & ENGINES. HOWEVER, IN 1986, A GT OR LX
COULD BE HAD WITH A POWERFUL FUEL INJECTED 302, FINALLY BRINGING THE
MUSTANG BACK TO IT'S ROOTS.
